Recently, the Federal Government has updated the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) laws requiring employers to maintain more data, including information on applicants who apply online.

The revised laws require any company with 15 or more employees to capture and track EEO data and those that don’t can face substantial federal penalties. In addition, any company that does business with the federal government or receives federal funds is required to track AA data.

If you need to follow-up with a candidate to collect additional or missing EEO/AA information, Monster provides you the ability to automatically send an e-mail directing the candidate to a website where they can supply the information. While you can not edit the email, you can select the information needed.
